Hello, I’m Wendy, and let me tell you about Pohutukawa! I’m a full-time British artisan specialising in handmade bags, scarves and other accessories under my Pohutukawa label. I primarily use Harris Tweed and Liberty of London fabrics, working from my studio on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

I will be extending the hand made bag range and adding other new products so do bookmark my site and check back to see my showcase and latest work.

Follow me on facebook to keep up to date with new releases and offers.

My work is also available in-store at Heather Jane & Co in Fowey and Tavistock, at Pencarrow House near Bodmin and in Zebediah’s Art and Craft collective shop in Launceston. You can also see my work and meet me at craft fairs and shows, information on upcoming events is linked here.

I’ve had some really great experiences making commissions for people including as special gifts. My approach is discussed further here.

I am happy to be part of a crafting family and also have some great and talented friends. Please support them if you can through their online shops.

The pohutukawa tree is from New Zealand and flowers at Christmas. The name was chosen because the Pohutukawa is amazingly resilient whilst its flowers have an intricate beauty. It also reminds me of the time we spent in that wonderful country so I was delighted to find this tree growing in the Isles of Scilly!
