Cookworthy Knapp, or The ‘Coming Home’ or ‘Nearly There’ trees are a famous sight on the A30 to returning residents of Kernow or travellers coming to holiday in Cornwall.  They are situated at Lifton near the Devon/Cornwall border and were originally planted by a farmer around 1900.  It is said that the copse of beech trees was planted in a heart shape (when viewed from the air) for his wife. There’s even a facebook group!

Working as a full time British artisan I specialise in making bags, scarves and accessories under my ‘Pohutukawa’ label in my studio on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. All the items in my shop have been handmade personally by me.
